Color Consulting?

We all want that “wow” factor when we walk into a room. Finding the perfect paint color is the best way to achieve that goal but this can often be much harder than it looks. In fact, If you are like so many people your first, second, or even fifth choice is often not the right one. All those unused cans of paint feel like such a waste, and quite frankly it is, both in time and money.

My 20 years of experience as a decorative painter and color consultant can take the time, stress, and confusion out of finding that perfect paint color. Whether you are looking to paint one room or your whole house, I can help you take the guesswork out of finding that perfect hue.    

When selecting colors I take a lot of things into consideration, like the size of your space, how much natural light your rooms get, and what is going to work with your existing decor and furnishings. I don’t follow trends. I see each space as a unique opportunity to revive and bring new life and vitality. This applies to both interior and exterior painting.

The Process

01. YOUR STORY

You tell me about colors you like and don’t like. What your vision is for your space and what you have or haven’t tried so far. How can we help you achieve your vision?

02. YOUR SPACE

Next we will take a look at your space, current furnishings and decor, floors/ carpeting and what type of natural light your space gets. If we are looking at an exterior change of color(s) we will look at your siding, roof and garage color and any hardscape that might need to be coordinated. This same process applies to any commercial space as well. This is when we will start to discuss some specific color options.

03. YOUR COLORS

At this point, I will present you with your color palette. This may be in the form of a chip or a larger sample board that we can look at right on your wall. We can move this board around the room to make sure it works in all the different areas of your space. Your satisfaction is paramount and I will make sure that happens!
